Program Description

Join the National Psoriasis Foundation for a one hour CME symposium on complex cases in psoriasis. Participants will learn from an expert in psoriasis through lectures, discussions, and case studies. Following a brief overview of psoriasis and recent updates in research and treatments, attendees will participate in cases studies of complex psoriasis patients, including patients with cancer, liver disease, pregnancy, cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome. The session will conclude with a question and answer session so that the participants can expand upon the knowledge gained in the case studies.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss commonalities in the pathophysiology of psoriasis and comorbid conditions
  2. Integrate techniques, technologies, and tools that support earlier recognition and aggressive treatment of psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis
  3. Outline the safety, efficacy, and role of current and emerging systemic psoriasis treatments in addressing skin, joint and cardiometabolic symptoms in patients with complex presentations
  4. Apply a patient-centric approach to pursuing treatment goals in patients with complex psoriasis presentations

Dermatologists, rheumatologists, and related health care professionals involved in the care of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis patients.
